With the mid-term elections just around the corner, it’s critical to “ensure that all young people have the ability and the opportunity to engage in democracy.” This is the mission of CIRCLE, the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University.
Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg, the Newhouse Director of CIRCLE, oversees the center’s wide-ranging research in civic education, voting and activism among young people. Kei has been featured in major outlets such as The New York Times, The Atlantic, National Public Radio, C-SPAN, Channel 1, and NBC. She is a recipient of the Jobs for The Future Distinguished Fellowship for Student-Centered Learning (2016-2018); and has been a board member and leader in many organizations dedicated to citizenship among young people.
Kei looks forward to sharing the work of CIRCLE in the hope of inspiring her listeners to get young people to the polls!
